Future Homeowners

Loveland Habitat for Humanity builds multiple homes a year for families in need of a decent, affordable home.

Our future homeowners are in the process of putting in their sweat equity, taking educational and financial courses, and preparing to receive the keys to their own home. Here are some of the stories of the individuals and families currently in the process:

Tassiny & Sharon

Tassiny has worked for Walmart for 25 years. She and her sister, Sharon, are Loveland natives and Loveland High School alums.

The youngest of 10, Tassiny lives with family in a crowded home due to high rent costs. She looks forward to the stability that comes with homeownership, and the peace of knowing that someone else is not going to make changes that may not be in her favor.

Tassiny and Sharon

“I see this open door as an opportunity only God can open for me. I knew I had been priced out of the housing market, but through Habitat for Humanity, the dream of owning a home in my hometown is coming true.”

Juan and Briana

“Having a place to call our own would be amazing. ur safe haven, and a place to raise our boy.”

Juan & Briana

Juan has been a technician for local government for 12 years and loves being a dad. Briana is a stay at home mom and loves baking.

They are looking forward to moving out of their small apartment and enjoying a steady cost for housing and somewhere safe to raise their son. They are excited for a place to call their own for their son to grow in.

Mike

Mike has worked as support staff at a long-term care facility for 5 years, supporting himself and his teenage son. Mike has lived in an apartment built by his father for the last 7 years. Originally supposed to be temporary, high housing costs have made it impossible to move into another apartment or buy his own home.

Mike is excited to have a home of his own and is eager to watch his son grow in their new community. He looks forward to living in a community that helps each other and works hard to achieve their goals.

Mike and his son

“I am eager to watch my son become the man he will be from the comfort and community of our home. I think it will be easier to look myself in the mirror with more pride knowing I worked hard and gave my all to achieve my dream of providing a home for my son.”
