If pre-approved, how long will it take before I purchase a home?
Completion dates of the homes will vary and are subject to change. The program is self-propelled, and also relies on the complexities of construction, availability of volunteer labor and incoming donations/funding sources. Construction complexities can include fee waivers, permitting, funding sources, our construction schedule and building requirements.
Families accepted into the program must also complete 200 hours of sweat equity per adult applicant, including working on the construction site, volunteering at the ReStore, and taking homeowner and financial management classes. These factors make it difficult to calculate the length of time between approval in the program to purchasing a home.
