Our Vision for Faith Build

Loveland Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical, Christian based housing ministry that displays the love and care of Jesus Christ through our work in the community.

Our mission: “Seeking to put God’s love into action, Loveland Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.”

Our partnership with the Faith-Based Community stems from shared commitments to faith, community and family that are common to all faiths and denominations. We are here to serve by working side by side so we can better serve those in Loveland in need of affordable housing.

We would like to learn more about your mission and how we can work together to support affordable housing in Loveland.

Faith Groups in Loveland Coming Together to Build Community

Faith communities throughout Loveland are rallying together to build homes for Habitat families. Small or large groups of any religion or denomination can contribute their time and resources to partner with us to provide strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership in Loveland . There are many ways you can help, and they are not all swinging hammers!

Looking to get involved?

One of the easiest ways that you can help to build homes for families in need is to donate to the Faith Build. Help us reach our goal of $20,000!

If you are looking to be a little more hands on, we are always in need of volunteers at the construction site and volunteers and donations at the ReStore. Even a small action can create a big impact towards providing safe, affordable homes to those who need it most in our community.

Meet a Faith Build Homeowner

Kimberly is the Youth Advocacy Specialist with The Arc of Larimer County, an advocacy organization protecting the civil rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). She felt a calling to work with families to navigate the education system, give them a voice, and bring them hope when they are feeling helpless.

She is a mother of three teens with a disability. Her two sons are on the Autism Spectrum, and her daughter is partially blind. Living on one income has made it difficult to afford a place that is safe and has enough room to support the needs of Kimberly’s family. Over the past years, Kimberly and her children have lived in small duplexes and apartments because that was what she could afford. With two children who need a quiet space to calm down and self-regulate when they experience feelings of anxiousness and sensory overload, a small apartment doesn’t do much. One of the tools that is effective in helping them calm down is to go walking, however, Kimberly and her family live in an area where they don’t feel completely safe for them to walk around.

As her daughter is partially blind, their current place doesn’t meet her needs visually. Without proper lighting, she cannot navigate around the house very well and has a difficult time with the stairs. This is another added stressor for Kimberly.

Moving into a Habitat home will provide a forever home that will be safe and fit the needs of Kimberly’s family. The boys will have a space to go to when they need time alone, and her daughter will have her visibility needs met with adequate lighting.

“The first thing Isabella asked was, ‘can we get a dog?’ Ever since, the kids and I go to our house weekly to have lunch or dinner or just to pay and look around. It’s a blessing.”

Kimberly and her family received the keys to their home on January 28, 2023.
