Building an Inclusive Loveland

Loveland Habitat for Humanity is focused on building a community where everyone has a decent place to live. We understand that the need for safe and affordable housing impacts everyone differently, and some of our neighbors have additional barriers to housing that we must work to address.
A report on LGBT people and housing by the Williams Institute reveals LGBT people face an array of stigma and discrimination that undermines their ability to have stable, safe and affordable housing. Affordable housing is not the only issue LGBT people face: 28% of LGBTQ youth reported experiencing homeless or housing insecurity at some point in their lives, according to a report by the Trevor Project.
Pride Build provides an opportunity for Loveland's LGBTQ+ community and allies to come together in support of a more inclusive Loveland. By building with us, community members can come together to learn more about the unique housing challenges faced by members of the LGBTQ+ community and how to join Loveland Habitat in advocating for better housing solutions for all our neighbors.
Through Pride Build, members of the community can volunteer together in an inclusive environment where everyone is welcome. With your support, we aim to create long-term change that removes barriers to housing for all of us, and address the harms that LGBTQ+ communities have historically had to overcome.
