Since 1987, Loveland Habitat for Humanity has built over 145 homes for families in need. A portion of the revenue needed to build homes comes from the net proceeds generated by the Loveland Habitat Restore sales. Your generous donations of gently used furniture, home goods, clothing and other items are sold at the Restore to the community for a fraction of the retail price.

Since the Loveland Habitat ReStore has been blessed with an abundance of donated items, we continue to find ways to pay our community’s generosity forward. Our partnerships have included providing clothing and supplies to some of our local faith partners, other non-profit providers, and to families in the Thompson School District. We are excited to announce that we have developed a new relationship that will allow us to support another non-profit while generating additional revenue for our mission.

New Horizons Ministries is a faith-based organization that provides support to children of incarcerated mothers in Colorado prisons. Their ministry assists with temporary foster care for children, weekly visits with the mother, and post-release “mom care” to foster a better outcome for mother and child. New Horizons Ministries also sends a Chaplain to Colorado state prisons where more than 3,600 inmates have the opportunity to discuss life’s challenges with a spiritual leader.
The newly established partnership between New Horizons and Loveland Habitat ReStore started in 2019. Loveland Habitat was approached by Kevin Mast, Executive Director of New Horizons, about furthering their partnerships with more Habitats across the state to support their program. Currently, New Horizons’ thrift shops are based in Canyon City and Pueblo and they find that they need additional donated products in these markets to support their mission. Our partnership allows the Loveland Habitat ReStore team to distribute the abundance of products we have received into the semi-trailer for New Horizons’ thrift stores. According to Restore Assistant Director, Amy Zander, the new partnership provides Loveland Habitat Restore the opportunity to continue its commitment to the environment by keeping an abundance of product out of the landfill, while supporting another worthwhile mission, and still creating a new revenue stream for the mission of Habitat.
