Our June Volunteer Spotlight is Connie! Connie has been volunteering at the ReStore for 17 years! She first got involved with Loveland Habitat for Humanity in 2002 after her husband passed and her friend invited her to come volunteer with her. Since then, she has been working in housewares, pricing product. What Connie really likes about working at the ReStore is doing something beneficial for the community and meeting all the people. She says, “everyone is so nice” and she is enjoying being around younger people. Volunteering at the ReStore keeps her active. At 91 years old, Connie volunteers two days a week and helps keep product on the shelves to help fund our mission. Some of her favorite memories of her time spent at the ReStore is the Soup Suppers and Dessert Contests where she won a prize! When Connie is not volunteering with Loveland Habitat for Humanity, she is playing Bridge or reading a Mary Higgins Clark mystery novel. She is also a big sports fan! She’s a big fan of the Kansas University Jayhawks and the Broncos!
Thank you, Connie, for your years of dedicated service to Loveland Habitat for Humanity!
