Meet Emily Pugh! Emily was one of our Winter Warrior Challenge winners. During the Winter Warrior Challenge, she braved the cold months and volunteered over 20 hours on our construction site, building homes and hope in the cold and snow. Emily started volunteering with Loveland Habitat in January 2019 with the desire of volunteering more year around. When asked why she wants to volunteer with Loveland Habitat for Humanity, she says that she wants to give back to the community with her time. Emily says that, “Altruism is good for the karma.” Emily says her favorite part of volunteering is working alongside future homeowners on their own home. She also really enjoys seeing the quick progress that is made on the home thanks to the dedicated volunteers.
When Emily is not volunteering with Loveland Habitat for Humanity, she is a 911 operator and helps people in crisis. Emily volunteers during the holidays with the Salvation Army and with the Blue Santa project with the Police Auxiliary. Emily also has 2 chocolate labs, Moose and Lyla.
